Getting Started/Rates

  

Assessment 

This is the first step to beginning counselling, and involves an informal chat with a view to my understanding a bit about yourself and what you require from counselling. It is also an opportunity for you to be able to ask any questions about the service and get an idea as to how I work as a counsellor and whether it fits with your requirements.

An assessment is generally carried out over the phone at the cost of a phone call, or  an appointment can be made for a face-to-face assessment at my office which takes about 30 minutes at a cost of £15.

Sessions

The next step is to arrange an appointment for you to attend your first counselling session; these are normally attended once a week and last for 50 minutes.  The amount of sessions required will be something we will both mutually agree upon during our first session together, and then reviewed on a regular basis with no obligation to continue any longer than you feel comfortably necessary.

Discounted Rates  (unemployed/low income/trainee counsellors)

£25 per 50 minute session
